Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Traceipt mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated by Traceipt Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202633811N) ("Traceipt", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use Traceipt. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Sign-in is via a one-time link or code sent to your email; keep access to your email secure.

3. What Traceipt is (and is not)

Traceipt is a personal finance tool that helps you record and organise your expenses, income, and receipts, and provides spending insights and credit-card comparison features.

Traceipt is not a financial adviser. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. In particular:

  • Spending insights are descriptive summaries of your own recorded data, not advice.
  • Credit-card comparison and rewards features present estimated, general comparisons based on the spending data you have recorded and on card terms we have gathered from public sources. They are comparisons, not recommendations or advice to obtain any particular card, and the figures shown are estimates. Card terms change and may contain errors — always verify the current terms directly with the bank before applying for or relying on any card.
  • The AI assistant produces automated responses that may be incomplete or incorrect. Review anything it proposes before acting on it, especially before confirming any change to your records.
  • Amounts, conversions, rewards figures, and totals shown in the app are for your information only and may not be exact.

You are solely responsible for your own financial decisions.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to access other users' data, or probe, scan, or breach the security of the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or overload our systems.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service except as permitted by law.
  • Submit content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Traceipt offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers with additional features.

  • Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store, subject to Apple's terms.
  • Prices, features, and tier limits are as shown in the app and may change; we will give notice of material changes as required.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled; manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store account settings.
  • Except where required by law or Apple's policies, payments are non-refundable.

Traceipt currently offers the following tiers:

  • Free — core expense, income, and receipt tracking, with a limit on the number of receipt photo scans.
  • Plus (S$4.99/month) — unlimited receipt photo scans (subject to fair-use limits), AI spending insights, and the AI assistant.
  • Pro (S$9.99/month) — everything in Plus, plus the credit-card advisor and rewards features.

Tier names, prices, features, and limits may change; we will give notice of material changes as required. Paid subscriptions are auto-renewable and billed through your Apple App Store account; they renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. Payment is charged to your App Store account on confirmation of purchase.

6. Your content and data

  • You retain ownership of the data and content you put into Traceipt.
  • You grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter.
  • You may delete your account and data at any time from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Deletion is permanent.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on and links to third-party services (for example, credit-card application partners, cloud providers, and AI providers). We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties or representations of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This includes, without limitation, any implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, title, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant or guarantee that:

  • the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free;
  • any data in the Service — including card terms, reward rates, rewards or "savings" estimates, spending insights, currency conversions, totals, or AI-generated output — is accurate, complete, current, or reliable;
  • any result, saving, reward, or financial outcome will be achieved.

All financial figures, comparisons, insights, and card information in the Service are estimates and general information only, gathered in part from third-party and public sources that may be inaccurate or out of date. They are not financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and are not a recommendation to obtain, keep, or use any financial product. You must independently verify any information — in particular current card terms — directly with the relevant bank or provider before relying on it or making any financial decision. You use the Service, and make all financial decisions, entirely at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

(a) Traceipt, together with its shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, and partners, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, savings, rewards, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, however arising, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

(b) Without limiting (a), we will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from: your reliance on any card information, reward estimate, saving estimate, insight, currency conversion, total, or AI-generated output in the Service; any financial decision you make; any inaccuracy or omission in third-party or bank data; any interruption, unavailability, or error in the Service; or any act or omission of a third-party service or provider.

(c) Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (i) the total amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (ii) SGD 100.

(d) Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of Singapore — including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or under the Personal Data Protection Act. Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

You agree that the limitations in this section are a reasonable allocation of risk given the nature of the Service and the price paid for it.

9A. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Traceipt and its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

10. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify or discontinue features, and we may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a revised date and, where changes are material, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have.
