SG Credit Card Advisor · Traceipt Max

Every dollar on the card that pays back most.

Traceipt matches your real spending to your cards — the ones you hold and any worth adding — and shows what a better match is worth, in dollars.

Coming soon to the App Store, iOS first. A comparison, not financial advice — always confirm a card’s current terms with the bank.

01 Your strategy

Your spending. Your cards. Your strategy.

Not a best-cards list. Tell it what you spend, the cards you hold and how many you’d carry — it works out which card to use for what, and what that’s worth.

Coming soon The strategy builder is planned, not yet built.

02 Day to day

The right card, every time you pay.

At the till, it tells you which card to use for what you’re buying — one answer, with the reason.

Coming soon Answers for the exact purchase — its amount, how you pay and the cap left this month. The current version answers by type of spending.

03 Card tracking

It manages the strategy for you.

Once the strategy exists, the app keeps count on every card: what you’ve spent, how close you are to its bonus cap, whether its minimum spend is met, and how much of the credit limit is used.

See, per card and across every bank, how close you are to each limit.

Coming soon The cap, minimum-spend and credit-limit meters. Spend and purchases per card are already in the app.

This is arithmetic on sample figures, not an estimate of what you’ll earn. Real cards add conditions — caps, minimum spends, exclusions and fees — and spending changes month to month. The Advisor does this sum on your own recorded spending and your cards’ current terms, and says so plainly when the gap is small.

Assumptions in this example

  • Sample spending of S$1,500 in one month, split as shown.
  • Generic sample cards, not real products.
  • Rewards card: 0.3% on all of this spending, as its bonus categories aren’t in it.
  • Cashback card: 5% on dining and groceries, capped at S$25 each a month (not reached here); 0.2% on everything else.
  • No annual fees, and every purchase qualifies for its category.

06 Honest by design

It’s allowed to say “keep what you have.”

“You don’t need a new card.”

If the cards you have already do the job, that’s the answer you get.

Value after what you pay.

A card’s annual fee comes off before anything is called a gain.

Coming soon Shown after the cost of Max, too.

Never “spend more to earn more.”

It only moves spending you’d already planned onto the better card.

A comparison tool, not financial advice. It doesn’t weigh your wider finances, debts or goals, and every figure is an estimate. Card terms change often — confirm the current terms with the bank before you apply.

The ranking isn’t for sale.

An application link may earn us a commission. It never decides the order, which cards are covered, or which get checked first — only the link behind Apply.

FAQ Good to know

Credit cards in Singapore, answered.

It depends on the card, the cap and the month — not on the category alone. Traceipt checks the cards you already hold against each card’s published terms and your own recorded spending, and gives you one card for that kind of spending with the reason behind it. Answers that account for this month’s cap and minimum-spend progress are coming soon.

By arithmetic on your own spending, not by a general ranking. Plain code applies each card’s published rates, caps, minimum spends, tiers and exclusions to the purchases you have recorded in Traceipt. Spending whose eligibility cannot be confirmed is counted at the base rate rather than the bonus rate, so the estimate does not flatter a card.

Possibly, and the amount is worth knowing before you change anything. Traceipt compares what your cards earned as you actually used them against what the same cards would have earned used properly. That second number needs no new card and no application. If the gap is small, it says the gap is small.

No. It is a comparison tool. It does not take your wider financial situation, debts or goals into account, and it never recommends spending more — it only decides which card pays for spending you had already planned. Card terms change often, so confirm the current terms with the bank before you apply for anything.

No. The cards on this page are generic samples, not real bank products, and every rate, offer and figure is illustrative. The worked example is arithmetic on sample spending, not an estimate of what you would earn. Always confirm a card’s current terms with the bank.

Only when the numbers support it, and it is allowed to conclude the opposite. “You don’t need a new card” and “that one isn’t worth the hassle” are valid results. A new card’s annual fee is deducted before any gain is reported, and a small yearly gain is reported as small.

An application link may earn us a commission. It has no input into the order cards appear in, which cards are covered, or which cards get researched first. The order you see is by what each card would have returned on your spending.

Usually a cap or a minimum spend. A cap is the most a card pays back in a period; a minimum spend is what you must reach before the higher rate applies at all. Most cards apply both, plus exclusions on certain merchants or transaction types, which is why a headline rate rarely lands in full.

No. It works from spending already captured in Traceipt — tapped at a counter, photographed, or typed in. Traceipt does not connect to your bank, your card issuer or CPF.
